If you suffer from dry skin or experience harsh, dry winters, then an olive oil face mask may just be what you need.

I know what you’re thinking… olive oil on my face?

Absolutely not. There’s no way.

Yet, when applied topically, olive oil has a multitude of benefits for your skin. It’s extremely moisturizing and brings a natural glow to your skin.

Antioxidant Rich

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants that combat the damaging effects of free radicals. The phenols, especially oleuropein combats free radicals at the skin level, protecting the skin and reducing premature aging.

Olive oil also contains squalene which has anticancer effects. Squalene is a common ingredient found in skincare cosmetics that keeps skin moisturized.

Improves Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Since it is so rich in antioxidants, olive oil reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Increases Skin Elasticity

Extra virgin olive oil is packed full of monounsaturated fat which has been shown to increase tightness of the skin and leaves skin moisturized.

Promotes Smooth Skin

Olive oil also is antibacterial and antifungal, which improves acne, scars, eczema and psoriasis. Since it is rich in vitamins such as vitamin E and potent polyphenols, it regenerates skin cells so you can show off your healthy, smooth and youthful-looking skin.
