Oatmeal
One of the great natural exfoliators (that you can likely find in your kitchen cupboard) is oatmeal! As an exfoliant, it helps to remove dead skin cells so that your fresh, healthy skin shines through, and your skin is better able to absorb the serums and creams that you apply to your face.
Oatmeal also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which can draw in oil from your skin. One of these properties is saponins which cleanse the skin by helping to remove dirt and oil that clog your pores (say goodbye to blackheads). Zinc is another property of oatmeal that helps to eliminate bacteria which causes acne. In addition, oatmeal can reduce redness and inflammation caused by breakouts.
Honey
Pure raw honey is also beneficial for your skin, it contains antioxidant and antibacterial properties which help to reduce breakouts, reduce scars in addition to providing hydration and moisture to the skin. The consistency of honey helps to extract dirt out of pores. Choose pure, raw honey which is full of nutrients instead of the squeezable honey you find at grocery stores since these are highly processed and pasteurized.

Oatmeal and Honey Face Mask
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp warm water
Directions:
- Remove all makeup and double cleanse your face.
- Grind your oats in a powder using a coffee grinder or a blender.
- Combine Ingredients.
- Begin with 2 tbsp of warm water, if you need more add it slowly until you get the consistency of a paste.
- Apply the mask to your face and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Wet a washcloth with lukewarm water and wipe the mask off.
Enjoy your fresh, clean, exfoliated and moisturized skin!
