Condition Your Lashes
If you only do one thing for your lashes, the first and most important priority is to condition your lashes daily. With proper care your lashes will grow longer and fuller by applying castor oil to your lashes every night before bed. You may not see an immediate difference, but as the nights go on your lashes will become thicker and longer.
- Before bed, wash your face and remove all of your eye makeup.
- Dip your sanitized mascara wand into the castor oil to slightly douse it in oil.
- Apply the castor oil onto your eyelashes as you would mascara.
- In the morning remove the oil from your lashes before you apply your makeup.

Prime Your Lashes
To make your lashes appear longer and add some volume, start with an eyelash primer. It works similar to a foundation primer by providing a base to your mascara.

Heat Your Curler
It goes without saying that you should be using a curler to maximize your lashes. If you want to take it to the next step, simply blow dry your eyelash curler before you apply it to your lashes to hold the curl. Only blow dry for 20 seconds and make sure it is not so hot that you will scorch your lashes.
You can even skip a step and get a heated eyelash curler to boost your lashes every time.

Lengthen Your Lashes
Baby powder can do wonders to the length and fullness of your lashes. After you’ve curled your lashes, apply one coat of mascara, then shake a tiny amount of baby powder into the palm of your hand and dip a Q-tip into the powder and apply it onto your lashes. Then, apply another coat of mascara to your lashes and revel in your lash glory.

Wiggle Your Wand
It is logical to assume the most effective way to apply mascara is to move your wand vertically in an even and controlled fashion. However, the trick to natural-looking full lashes and applying mascara evenly is to wiggle the wand sideways and move your wand upwards as if you were forming z’s.
Grow Your Lashes
Eyelash serums can be effective to grow your lashes. The Fimate eyelash serum below is FDA approved and is clinically proven to increase the length and fullness of eyelashes. According to Fimate, daily use of this serum over a month and a half of increased eyelashes by 55%.

Take Good Care of Your Lashes
It is very important to remember to remove your eye makeup and mascara before bed each night. Going to bed with your mascara on can cause your lashes to become weak and even fall off. I recommend using coconut oil to remove mascara because it is natural, so it won’t cause irritation. It is also moisturizing and conditioning for your lashes and the delicate skin surrounding your eyes, plus it promotes the growth of your lashes.
You can simply rub some coconut oil between your thumb and index finger and apply it gently to your lashes. Once they are lathered, take a cotton ball and wipe your lashes starting from the inner corner of your eye outward.

MASCARA APPLICATION TIPS
Apply Sparsely
When mascara is new there is a lot of gunk in the tube that gets caught up in the wand that you’ll want to brush off before making a mess of your lashes. Brush the gunk off onto the side of the mascara tube in order to apply the mascara sparsely. The goal is to avoid caking and clumping.
Prime Your Lashes
A tip for priming your lashes that can be forgotten is to let your lash primer fully dry before you begin applying mascara.

Curl Your Lashes
When using an eyelash curler, find one that fits your lashes and begin by curling the roots first and then the tips. Keep the curler clamped for a couple seconds at each part of your lash. Don’t forget to add some heat to it for some extra volume!

Out With the Old In With The New
Mascaras are not to be used more than 3 months after they’ve been opened. Each time you open the tube and pull the wand out you are adding oxygen into the mascara and causing it to dry out.
